VideoSpirit Lite

There are various devices out there each capable of playing video files. However, most of them only run specific file formats making converting a necessity, especially when having to work with video files. Luckily, applications like VideoSpirit Lite give you the possibility to load multiple files and make them compatible with devices that suit your need.

The application's pride lies in the multitude of file types it is capable of managing. Nearly all video formats are available to load and export, as well as MP3 in case you want to extract sound from a video.

Each file you add represents a new task for which you can set output folder and type. From the same window that appears upon file selection several audio and video quality options are available to get just the right result.

You are able to add files one by one, or more at a time. However, this is only done through the application's file menu, with no support for the drag and drop function.

Another feature of the application is a file splitter. Choosing this option from the “Add Task” menu brings up a new window where you are required to select the specific file and output format. Setting time is either done by carefully adjusting a slider or imputing values for start and end trim time.

Unfortunately, there is no preview section available so you have to open the media file in an external application to know exactly what needs to be cut.

Merging two files into one is done by managing similar options. Selected elements for the process can be of different formats, the output being the one you set.

Last but not least, the application features yet another helpful tool with the help of which you can capture nearly any frame from a video. This is simply done by selecting the desired file, output directory and setting up cutting time.

Start and end points need to be specified similar to split feature, as well as the method to be used, which can either be a number of images per second or vice-versa.

To sum it up, VideoSpirit Lite provides a handful of useful tools that should not be missing from any video editor's computer. The user interface you work in is not the best looking, but the number of available features and result it gives are more than enough.
